DEAR DAVE, Magazine presents photographer Roe Ethridge in conversation with Kevin Moore, an independent advisor, curator and writer, discussing work in his recently published monograph, Shelter Island, newly released by Mack Books.
Admission is free and open to the public.  No RSVP is required.  A book signing will follow.
The hour long discussion will focus on Ethridge’s recently published book, Shelter Island, a collection of photographs created during a summer vacation in Long Island, New York. While renting an all-American kit house, Ethridge and his family discovered the relics of the previous owners, and their countless summers stored away in the garage, objects describing seasonal memories, both unique and ubiquitous.
Roe Ethridge, lives and works in New York, his work has been shown extensively at museums and institutions around the world, including MOMA/PS1 (2000), Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston (2005), The Whitney Biennial (2008), Museum of Modern Art, New York (2010
Kevin Moore is an independent advisor, curator and writer based in New York. His work focuses on the history of photography and contemporary art. He has been the Artistic Director and Curator of FOTOFOCUS, Cincinnati since 2013.
DEAR DAVE, Magazine is a tri-annual publication of photography and writing. It celebrates a community of visual thinking, and publishes idiosyncratic and original work that is deserving of further recognition. DEAR DAVE, Magazine is interested in the most unpredictable work of all  photographic genres and sensibilities.
