SVA Theatre presents a special, free advance screening of the Netflix Original Film Amateur, written/directed by Ryan Koo and produced by SVA BFA Film faculty member Chip Hourihan, Jason Michael Berman, and Mark Moran.
Synopsis: 14-year-old basketball phenom Terron Forte has to navigate the under-the-table world of amateur athletics when he is recruited to an elite NCAA prep school.
Starring: Michael Rainey Jr. (Power), Josh Charles (The Good Wife), Brian White (Ray Donovan), Sharon Leal (Instinct), and Corey Parker Robinson (The Wire).
Amateur was a Sundance Screenwriters Lab selection and received support from IFP and the Tribeca Film Institute.
A Q&A with select cast and crew will follow the screening.
