Moonshot Film Challenge Premiere

Come see the five films made as part of the Moonshot Film Challenge: A Nice Place to Visit, Life Begins, New World Orioles, Out of Time, and The Swipe.

In the film challenge, accepted participants are placed on crews of strangers and work with women and gender-expansive filmmakers in every role of production. We provide cinema-quality equipment courtesy of our sponsors, production insurance, waivers to submit to film fests, and more!

The films made during our past film challenges have been accepted into over 100 film festivals. More importantly, past participants’ careers accelerate after this program due to the connections they make during the challenge.

During this year’s challenge ,we had five teams: Team Gina, Team Celine, Team Patricia, Team Mira, and Team Emerald – each named for a female or gender-expansive filmmaker. The genre for each team’s film was determined by pulling genres out of a hat. Once they had their assigned genre, each team hit the ground running to write, shoot, and edit a film over just two weekends!

The result is five amazing films that you can see at this screening!
