2nd North America Chinese Directors Short Film Tour

Founded by Enmaze Pictures and co-presented by Blueberry Pictures, the 2nd North America Chinese Directors Short Film Tour will have the opening screening on Sunday, October 16th at SVA Theatre with six amazing short films! This year, from an impressive number of 561 submissions, the Short Film Tour jury selected 22 finalists, and the opening screening in New York City will present six of them.
After the screening, a Q&A panel discussion will directly follow with director Lifan Wang, director Nico Gao, and director Gorby Shih.

A Hero For A Day

90 Days
Dir. Timothy Yeung (New York University) | Drama | 18 mins
Li Jan, a girl from China, travels to Hong Kong to meet with a groom, only to be prepped into the world of underground prostitution.
Isa and The Frog Prince
Dir. Yingxiang Huang (Florida State University) | Drama | 14 mins
A girl who believes her frog will turn into a prince went on a mysterious journey. Will her prince show up?
Love, Work & Other Demons
Dir. Gorby Shih (University of Southern California) | Romantic Drama/Action | 21 mins
Joanna, Chinese waitress by day, demon hunter by night, must battle lipstick, heels, and monsters to find her own identity and get the man she loves.
Shun
Dir. Lavi Hu (American Film Institute) | Drama | 25mins
This short film depicts the struggle of choosing between what’s expected of you and what you truly desire to do.
Doors open at 6:30pm.
