This timely narrative feature debut from writer/director and Instagram superstar Max Emerson (@maxisms), poignantly captures the plight of LGBTQ youth. Unaccepted at home, 18-year-old Jack (Conor Donnally) survives in New York City through sex work, while trying to build a better life with his loving boyfriend Tom (Sean Ormond). Funded through crowdsourcing and a commitment to donating to LGBTQ organizations, HOOKED is proof that cinema can tell powerful stories of underrepresented, neglected populations while directly giving back the community.
