Panel: New Opportunities and Incentives to Shoot Your Indie Movie in Latin America and New York State
7:30pm @ SVA THEATRE
This dialogue aims to offer options, tips, and accurate information about opportunities to shoot a low-to-medium budget film in locations such as Colombia, Cuba and New York State. In Colombia, the government provides soft money in the form of tax subsidies or cash rebates; in New York, the State Film Commission offers tax incentives; and in Cuba, now that diplomatic relations with the U.S. are being re-established, options to shoot in the Island might emerge.
Panelists:
Connie McFeeley, Director of Film Tax Credit Program of Governor’s Office of Motion Picture & Television Development.
Adelfa Martínez, Director of the Colombian Film Institute.
Ivan Giroud, Cuban producer and Director of the Festival del Nuevo Cine Latinoamericano de la Habana.
Moderated by Louis Perego, Director of Prime Latino Media.
