The School of Visual Arts, in conjunction with Australians in Film, presents a 20th Anniversary screening of the film “The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert” preceded by a Q&A with the film’s director, Stephan Elliott, and Academy Award and Tony Award-winning costume designer, Lizzy Gardiner. The Q&A will be moderated by Patrick Harrison of The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

This event, sponsored by Virgin Australia, Delta Air Lines, and the Australian Consulate-General New York will celebrate the launch of the New York Chapter of Australians in Film, a nonprofit organization celebrating outstanding Australians working in film, television, and the arts in the United States while supporting the next generation.
“The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert” is rated R. Children under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult. Children under the age of 10 are not permitted to attend this event.
Advance tickets are only available online through Eventbrite by clicking this link or the ticket icon above. Should any tickets remain, they will be sold at the venue on the day of the event only, beginning at 5:00PM. Please note, at-the-door sales are cash only.
Doors will open at approximately 6:30PM. All seats are general admission.
If you are an SVA student, faculty, or staff member, you may purchase up to two SVA Tickets for yourself and a guest. If you are a student at another college, you may purchase up to two Student Tickets for yourself and a guest. Please ensure that you have a current, valid ID with you, as you may not be permitted to enter without it.
Your Eventbrite ticket — either printed or displayed on your smartphone — is required for entrance. Invited guests of Australians in Film can pick up their tickets beginning at 6:00PM.
All tickets are final sale. There are no refunds or exchanges.
Concessions are not available for purchase at SVA Theatre. Guests are welcome to bring food and drink. Glass bottles are not permitted.
