Join SVA BFA Photo for their first in-person event since 2020! Photographer and department faculty member Accra Shepp discusses his work with feminist activist, scholar, author, and contributing Critic at Large for The New York Times, Salamishah Tillet on the occasion of Shepp’s first monograph ​​Radical Justice: Lifting Every Voice. Shepp’s book brings together two bodies of socially engaged photographic portraiture that document New York City’s Occupy Wall Street movement starting in 2011 and the BLM protests since 2020 with a foreword by Tillet.

The event includes a book signing with the exclusive opportunity to purchase a copy of Radical Justice: Lifting Every Voice before its global publication dates.

SVA Theatre COVID Protocols for Event Attendees

All those entering SVA Theatre need to be fully vaccinated with an FDA / WHO authorized COVID vaccine and must show proof of vaccination upon entrance. “Fully vaccinated” means at least 14 days past the final dose of the vaccine received, plus a booster shot for those eligible to receive it. (Recipients of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines become eligible for a booster six months after their second dose, and recipients of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine become eligible two months after their single dose.)
