Art21 Rewind | 25th Anniversary Screening

Step into the past to celebrate 25 years of Art21 documentaries with this special screening of Season One.

Rewind to 2001, a time when broadcast television was king, streamers didn’t exist, and people bought VHS tapes. Join us for a special screening of artist documentaries from Art21’s Art in the Twenty-First Century.

Twenty-five years ago, an unknown television premiered on PBS. This September marks 25 years of Art21 films bringing the artist and their words directly to audiences around the world.

This celebration of Season One will feature the following short films:

• Laurie Anderson in Introduction to “Place”
• Barry McGee+ Margaret Kilgallen in “Place”
• Beryl Korot + S. Epatha Merkerson in Introduction to “Spirituality”
• Shahzia Sikander in “Spirituality”

• John McEnroe + Barbara Kruger in Introduction to “Consumption”
• Mel Chin in “Consumption”
