The Lover Company and Producer / DGA Director Salvatore Oppedisano, in association with the BFA Film & Video program at the School of Visual Arts, presents a free 40th anniversary special re-release reception and screening of two critically acclaimed, award-winning, low budget independent films: Distance, starring James Woods in his first leading role along with a fine cast of actors; along with the 1968 Oscar-nominated De Düva (The Dove), winner of 28 international awards.
In memoriam to film actors Madeline Kahn, Bibi Besch and George Coe, Anthony Lover, director of both films, will join cast and crew for a post-screening conversation. This is a rare, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see both films on the big screen.
Limited seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
VIP Reception begins at 6pm. Seating begins at 7pm. Screening starts at 7:30pm sharp. No one will be admitted after the film starts.
This film is Rated R: Restricted , under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian.
