"Do I Sound Gay?" Advance Screening & Q&A

Please join SVA Theatre & NewFest for a special advance screening of the new documentary,Â Do I Sound Gay?, followed by a Q&A with the film’s director, David Thorpe.
Presented by IFC Films, Do I Sound Gay?Â is about the stereotype of the “gay voice” and includes interviews with Margaret Cho, Tim Gunn, Dan Savage, David Sedaris, and George Takei. Â The film was an official selection of many festivals, including DOCNYC and the Toronto International Film Festival. Â It will be released in theatres on July 10th, 2015. Â Running time: 77 minutes.
Do I Sound Gay?Â is not rated by the MPAA andÂ may not be suitable for young children. Â We ask parents not to bring children under the age of twelve.
This event is only open to SVA students/faculty/staff, NewFest members, those who attended the Pride screening on 6/22/15, and those who received a ticket access code. Â You may bring up to two guests per person.
