Monday, May 12, 2025 1:30 pm
Event hosted by: MFA Design for Social Innovation
MFA Design for Social Innovation presents its 2025 thesis show. Celebrate this year’s graduating students as they share their thesis projects. Through inspiring interventions, social issues, and partners, their explorations show us how MFA Design for Social Innovation designers find a common coexistence in future-building.
How might our collective past/histories shape what is to come?
Why is design needed today for lasting social change?
What does it look like to co-design the future?
Their work responds to relevant social issues of today that will impact tomorrow, including: language justice, space trash crisis, conscious consumption, AI and emerging technologies in education, emotional health and wellbeing, and women’s financial freedoms.
MFA DSI graduate students explore social innovation through co-design and community-led collaborations, supporting people and the planet. This year’s keynote speaker is Amer Jandali (MFA 2016 Design for Social Innovation), founder of The Marketplace of the Future and CEO of social design studio, Future Meets Present.
Collectively, as we find root and purpose in the power of our coexistence, the 2025 MFA DSI Thesis Show urges us to consider how social design can be used—to build a future where we can all thrive.
