LGBTQ advocates in sports celebrate Pride by sharing their stories of triumph
In a ted-talk-style format, the event will feature a number of people in the push for LGBTQ inclusion in sports, offering windows into their experiences as athletes, coaches, and advocates. Confirmed speakers include:
-Erica Smith — Trans athlete at all-women’s Sweet Briar College
-Patrick Burke — Co-founder of the You Can Play project and NHL executive
-Scottie Winer & DJ Slifer — Recently married sports professionals
-Joe Altenau — Prudential Center executive
-Anya & Madison Packer — Married hockey executive and NWHL player
-Will Sheridan — Artist and Hall of Fame former Villanova basketball player
-Anthony Nicodemo — High School basketball coach who recently won a title

SVA Theatre COVID Protocols for Event Attendees
All those entering SVA Theatre need to be fully vaccinated with an FDA / WHO authorized COVID vaccine and must show proof of vaccination upon entrance. “Fully vaccinated” means at least 14 days past the final dose of the vaccine received.
Everyone entering SVA Theatre must wear approved face coverings that cover the nose and mouth at all times. CDC guidelines state that bandanas, gaiters, or masks with vents/valves are not approved.
