Saturday, September 21, 2019 2:00 pm
Event hosted by: School of Visual Arts
As part of After School Special: The 2019 School of Visual Arts Alumni Film & Animation Festival, we are pleased to present a special 3D screening of the Academy Award-nominated animated Disney Animation Studios film Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018). Following the film, we’ll be joined by three SVA alumni who worked as artists/animators on the film — Michael Altman, Nicholas Manfredi, and Brett Taggart (all graduates of SVA’s BFA Computer Art, Computer Animation and Visual Effects program). The film will be preceded by the animated short Happy Birthday Ada, which was created by several SVA alumni, including producer Susan Godfrey (BFA 2006 Animation). The Q&A will be moderated by current student Daniela Dwek (BFA 2020 Computer Art, Computer Animation and Visual Effects).
Synopsis: Six years after the events of Wreck-It Ralph, Ralph and Vanellope, now friends, discover a wi-fi router in their arcade, leading them into a new adventure.
Ralph Breaks the Internet is rated PG, and some material may be inappropriate for children under the age of 8. Children under the age of 3 may not be admitted.
…. And come early to enjoy augmented and virtual reality and music video experiences in the lobby.
