You are invited to join director Par Parekh for the NY premiere of SISTER ÚNA LIVED A GOOD DEATH, followed by Q&A and reception.

SISTER ÚNA LIVED A GOOD DEATH will air on PBS’s Independent Lens on Feb 5, and will soon be available on PBS Passport and Amazon Prime. Six years in the making, this film won the inaugural PBS/Firelight William Greaves Production Fund grant, and was generously supported by ITVS, as well as hundreds of family and friends.

SYNOPSIS: Following a cancer diagnosis, Sister Úna — a smoking, wisecracking Catholic nun dedicated to social justice — chooses to live as she’s dying. In SISTER ÚNA LIVED A GOOD DEATH, we follow the self-proclaimed “leader of the misfits” in her last nine months as she plans her funeral, attempts to complete her bucket list, and confronts what it means to let go.
