The Collaboration Awards, presented by the Women in the Arts and Media Coalition every third year, encourages professional women from different fields of artistic specialization to work collaboratively on the creation of new and impactful work.
At this year’s Gala, The 6th Triennial Collaboration Award will be given to playwright Deborah Yarchun, representing Coalition Member Dramatists Guild, and her collaborator Jess Chayes, representing Coalition Members Stage Directors and Choreograpers Society and the League of Professional Theater Women, for their play Preservation.
Additionally, OBIE and SAG Award ® winning actor and producer Alysia Reiner (Fig on Netflix’ Orange is the New Black) along with her collaborative team, will be presented with the first Acclaimed Collaboration Award for the film Egg. The film’s Collaborators are:Director Marianna Palka, Screenwriter Risa Mickenberg, Co-Producers Michele Ganeless and David Alan Basche.
Ms. Reiner will also serve as the event’s host.
