This new music documentary draws an intimate portrait of a New York legend, a musical pioneer who transcended the boundaries of jazz, dissolving the rigid distinctions between sound and music in the 80s and 90s. He left us in 1998 at age 40 and would prove that life itself is to be transcended even if it had to end too soon.
