MPS Art Therapy presents Juliet L. King, MA, ATR-BC, LPC, LMHC, who will give this year’s Valery Daniels Memorial Lecture, “Into the Wild: Integrating Neuroscience with Art Therapy Theory, Practice and Research.”
The presentation is intended to introduce art therapy theory and practice as understood with a neuroscience lens. Theoretical tenets of art therapy will be explored and understood with science, encouraging the understanding of art therapy as neurotherapeutic and the art therapist as a “neuroplastician.” The presentation will also serve to dispel common assumptions and set the stage for how to think about an integration of the fields in theory, practice and future research. RSVP here.
This event is free and open to the public.
