DAAD presents….
“Agonie” (2016) by David Clay Diaz
In German, with English Subtitles
The film premiered at the 66th Berlinale festival , where it was nominated for Best First Feature , and won the Bavarian Culture Prize. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with director and screenwriter David Clay Diaz and director and producer Stephan Littger.
The film tells the story of two young men, Christian (24) and Alex (17); one of them will have committed murder by the end of the film.
David Clay Diaz, a 2016/2017 DAAD Grantee, was born in 1989 in Asunción, Paraguay. He spent the first three years of his childhood in Lima, Peru, before moving to Vienna, Austria, with his mother. David studied philosophy in Vienna where he shot several short movies and then commenced a program in film directing at the University of Television and Film in Munich, Germany.
