This year DSI graduates have developed brilliant projects that solve social problems and prepare them for careers as creative leaders. Please join DSI for the show and hear their ideas to: provide tools for white parents to co-learn alongside their multiracial children about ethnic racial identity; equip citizens with proven tools turning them into instruments of change; tell the stories of shelters dogs helping find them forever homes; guide citizens to support a community of immigrant women; inspire young fashion students to develop sustainable design practice; offer moms self-care opportunities to focus on their needs in guilt-free setting; teach community advocates to design support for survivors of domestic violence; help visually-impaired teenagers build relationships with their peers; begin a conversation about condom-use for gay men in Beijing colleges; tackle gaming toxicity and create a safer and more inclusive environment; provide data analytics to help companies and working parents design a more equitable workplace; create a civic engagement tool supporting grassroots activists to shape city policies; create a supportive, judgement-free event for parents and their trans and gender nonconforming children; help Chinese artists increase economic opportunities by collaborating with New York designers; support young people who have lost a parent to give their grief purpose; provide client-based assessment for small businesses to improve the trauma-sensitivity of their spaces.
