As part of After School Special: The 2019 School of Visual Arts Alumni Film & Animation Festival, we are pleased to present a special 3D screening of the Academy Award-winning animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018). Following the film, we’ll be joined by three SVA alumni who worked as artists/animators on the film — Benjamin Aguillon (MFA 2004 Computer Art), Chris Hung (BFA 2001 Computer Art), and Lisa Suzuki (MFA 1998 Computer Art). The film will be preceded by the animated short The Road Not Taken, created by SVA alumna Ellen Su (BFA 2013 Computer Art, Computer Animation and Visual Effects). The Q&A will be moderated by current student Sara Zarul Azham (MFA 2020 Computer Arts).
Synopsis: Teen Miles Morales becomes Spider-Man of his reality, crossing his path with five counterparts from other dimensions to stop a threat for all realities.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is rated PG, and some material may be inappropriate for children under the age of 8. Children under the age of 3 may not be admitted.
…. And come early to enjoy augmented and virtual reality and music video experiences in the lobby.
