Philip Hallie was a philosopher of ethics and was especially interested in the workings of good and evil in the world. He taught at Wesleyan for 32 years and the Hallie Lecture was founded in 1994 by David Rhodes (’68, P’06), president of the School of Visual Arts, as an annual campus event offered by the College of Letters (COL).
The 25th anniversary celebration will feature WesTalks from three COL alumni speakers, as they give presentations about how questions regarding good and evil may be relevant to their lives after Wesleyan and to their current professional work.
Welcome remarks from President Michael S. Roth ’78.
All Wesleyan alumni, parents, students, and friends are welcome to attend.
